The latest from our dear friend, master luthier Ted Stevenson in Montreal, CA. We asked Ted to make a carve top version of his Standard model, and he was happy to oblige. This is serial number CT001, as it is the first carved top Standard, and it is carved by hand without aid from CNC technology. They grace and finesse of the curves and peaks on this guitar are best experienced in person. The hand-carved, oil-finished neck and contoured heel are ultra smooth and inviting. About the Pro Lock Neck Joint:
The Pro Lock neck joint provides increased wood-to-wood surface area contact for transfer of energy between the neck and body. Our threaded inserts ensure a positive mechanical attachment, far surperior to wood screws alone. This design eliminates any unwanted movement of the neck within the pocket, and the result is an added dimension of full-bodied resonance that gives our guitars a unique voice, along with unsurpassed stability. Our contoured heel provides a smooth feel and unrestricted access to the highest frets with no clunky or unsightly plates.
