For over 45 years, Spector Bass has blended artistry with precision, refining our expertise. Now, we proudly present our inaugural USA Custom Shop Signature Model for bass legend, Doug Wimbish.
Doug Wimbish, synonymous with bass excellence since 1987, transformed his instruments into extensions of his unique flair and vision. Acknowledging this, Spector's USA Custom Shop crafted two masterpieces: the DW-4 and DW-5.
These signature models intricately mirror Doug's iconic 1987 basses. From the neck contours to nut widths, each detail resonates with the original craftsmanship. Collaborating with EMG, the customized pickups capture the distinct Spector sound, a hallmark of Wimbish's monumental musical impact.
Blending tradition with innovation, these models empower artists to explore, echoing Wimbish's iconic journey. This collaboration symbolizes Spector's commitment to merging heritage with the future, preserving a timeless musical essence.
Available in both 4-string and 5-string versions, each boasts unique teatures. The DW-4 otters Amber Stain Gloss and Black Stain Gloss options, while the DW-5 showcases Dark Blue Stain Gloss and Faded Natural Gloss.
To mark their launch, a limited edition of both 4 and 5 string models featuring Spector's exclusive True Champagne Gloss color will be avialable only in the initial production release. Each purchase comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by Doug Wimbish.
