Made in the heralded Leakesville, MS Peavey USA factory, as a follow up to the huge success of their Wolfgang USA guitars, these Limited (LTD) models offer a serious boutique vibe and quality at import pricing. The bang for the buck ratio is absolutely off the charts with these, and it's just a matter of time before the market catches up and adds another digit to the price on these fantastic instruments.
A 3/16" beautifully figured, flame maple top adorns a chambered and highly-resonant alder body, with a contoured neck heel and 5-bolt joint for improved access to the high frets and improved rigidity for great tone.
The neck is constructed of a single piece of rock maple with a thick slab of dark Indian rosewood and features nickel silver medium jumbo (.045"x.105") frets, a 25.5" scale, 12" radius and a graphite nut. The straight headstock design uses a 3x3 configuration with 18:1 ratio Grover locking tuners arranged in a straight string path for maximum tuning stability. The tremolo bridge is a Hipshot UltraGlide patented bearing system with solid stainless steel saddles. Truss rod access is done via a spoke wheel at the neck/body joint, eliminating the need for special tools or part removal when seasonal adjustments are required.
Pickups are Peavey's house-made VTS vintage single coils (middle is RWRP for hum-cancelling) and VTH high-output humbucker, mated to a 5-way switch with master volume and tone controls, capped with low-profile polished aluminum knobs.
The condition of this instrument is a solid 9.5, with nothing more than some surface scuffs on the clear and back cavity covers. Some mild oxidation on the chrome hardware and normal handling wear for a guitar of this vintage. It has been played and cherished, but never abused or neglected. Please look at all the pictures and feel free to ask any questions.
