We refer to this aesthetic as "Mary Kaye", appropriately recognizing the singer and guitarist of that name from the mid 20th century. She became a guitar icon while performing with a guitar that featured the striking combination of a solid swamp ash body, maple neck, trans white finish and gold hardware.
This guitar features the new HCS hum-canceling system, evolved from the James Tyler Orginal Studio Elite setup (the black fiber bobbins with large flat poles). Featuring JTS 5500 Alnico pole single coils, Jim's pride and joy true vintage single coils, developed over decades of working closely with the biggest naames in the LA studio scene, and countless other heavyweight guitarists around the world. These are the real deal. And now they are offered in a hum-canceling circuit so you don't have to compromise and chose between authentic vintage single coil tones and the accompanying hum. With the lead/rhythm circuit you get 3 modes per pickup: Parallel (switch down), Split (switch center) or Series (switch up). Going back and forth between the center and up positions on the mini-toggle is eye-opening. You can hear the gorgeous single coil tones of your dreams and simply turn off the hum. You get maybe a tiny bit fuller sound in the split mode (with hum) but it's barely perceptible, such that in any musical environment you will only be able to tell which mode you are in when the music stops and you hear the hum (or not). Truly incredible.
