Fresh in from Sun Valley, CA and the team at the Schecter Guitars USA Custom Shop, this California Classic is the quintessential super-strat guitar with the added elegance of a stunning, carved 5/8”-thick flamed maple cap.
The neck is a stain-finished maple custom ‘C’ profile, measuring .825” at the first fret, .865” at the 12th fret and a 1.65” nut width. The richly colored rosewood fingerboard is adorned with Jescar stainless steel jumbo frets (.110″ X .057). While stainless steel frets are not typically offered on this model, we consider it a worthwhile upgrade on a guitar of this caliber and Schecter was gracious enough to accommodate this request.
Schecter custom shop pickups are made right alongside their guitars in Sun Valley, California, allowing them to offer several models, each voiced to provide a specific character and range of tones to suit any given playing style. We specified the Pasadena Plus in zebra, paired with VS-1 Vintage single coils (all Alnico 5 magnets) with a 5-way switch and push/pull tone control to split the bridge pickup.
We included a black Original Floyd Rose for the best in tuning stability and highly sensitive vibrato control, as well as locking Hipshot/Schecter tuning keys for super fast string changes.
Overall, this guitar is highly-capable and in the right hands will cover just about any type of music. Blues, classic/hard rock, funk, jazz, pop… you name it. This is the guitar that will get it done, and do it in the legendary Schecter Custom Shop style. A true elegant hot rod.
