Typical Guitar Setup/Repair Prices

Restring and tune – $25 + strings (Replace strings, clean and polish guitar and fretboard)

Set up – $75 + strings (Adjust neck relief, action at nut and saddle, intonation, minor fret work, tighten tuner hardware, lubricate where applicable, general clean up/polish, restring.) Locking/floating tremolo or Nylon String guitars + $15

New nut – $90 + nut blank (finish work may require extra labor)

Replace Tuners – starting at $30 + parts

Level, Crown and polish frets – $175

Fix fret sprout (file, shape, finish touchup, polish) - $100

Diagnose electrical problem – $25

Replace jack – $30 plus part

Replace pickups – $30 per pickup + parts

Replace volume/tone pot – $30 per part, plus part

Replace switch – $30-$60 per switch, plus part

Bench time for additional labor (hygienic cleaning needed prior to repair work, custom wiring requiring novel designs, novel setup requirements, complete breakdown of hardware or instrument, rectifying previous repair attempts, etc.) not covered under one of the previous items is billed at $75.00 per hour
