Product Overview
As a dealer for ESP during the mid-'90s, I was constantly impressed with the absolute commitment to quality that the luthiers at ESP showed in every single guitar they shipped. In the time before the LTD line existed, there were only a handful of us large volume dealers in the US stocking the Japanese guitars. In addition to the 20 or so guitars I always had on the wall, I always had several custom instruments in steady rotation - from simple mods to full custom graphics and inlays. It was an amazing time to be a dealer for one of the most capable guitar companies on the planet. There was no difference in quality between the "standard" instruments and those one-offs. Every guitar was a "Custom Shop" guitar. I still own and cherish a wonderful custom ESP guitar from the early '90s and I have the utmost respect for ESP guitars from this "golden age" of ESP. This Horizon is an absolute gem of an example of these guitars.
