SYNERGY OS – INTERCHANGEABLE PRE-AMP
In the world of guitar amps, there exists one legendary designer and brand that very few ever get to meet, see, or play through. This is Alexander “Howard” Dumble and his namesake, Dumble amplifiers. Normally reserved to the paragon of players, you’ll find his amplifiers backing up such artists as Carlos Santana, Robben Ford, and even the late, great Stevie Ray Vaughan.
No two Dumbles are the same, but it’s the Dumble Overdrive Special that continues to reign as the man’s pinnacle design. The amplifier boasts unique sound and feel that is praised for its ability to enhance and uncover every nuance of a player’s technique and tone. And it’s this ability that has earned the amp a reputation for being one of the finest and most expensive ever made.
Yet, because these mythical amps are extremely hard to come by, we created the Synergy OS preamp module, our tribute to its iconic sound. The OS module packs the Dumble personality and user experience in a compact format, providing affordability and convenience that the original can never match.
Across the front panel, the OS features the same basic controls as the Overdrive Special amplifier. Dual footswitchable channels enable switching between the unique Dumble clean with its mid-forward clarity to the fabled smooth, singing sustain that gives the Overdrive Special its name. You’ll also find Bright and Deep, along with and Rock/Jazz switches that – along with a 3-band EQ – tailor your tone while always retaining the Dumble character. Finally, a master presence control adds just the right amount of clarity to the preamp module’s OD mode.
There’s nothing that sounds or feels exactly like a Dumble. But with the Synergy OS preamp module, you can possess the essence of one of the finest amps in the world alongside all of the other classic tones available from the Synergy system.
CATHODE SELECT SWITCH:
This three-position switch allows you to configure the input tube bass response to match the original circuit of the selected module. This will affect the feel and tightness. Each amp designer has a specific combination of components that make up their input tube circuit. We have selected the three most popular combinations which you can access with this switch. You can experiment and try any of the positions to see what you prefer.

Standard UPS Ground shipping is included for most orders shipped within the continental United States. Any applicable shipping costs will be shown on the cart page during checkout. In-stock items are typically processed and shipped within one to two business days.
Killerburst is a traditional brick-and-mortar retail store serving local customers while also shipping items around the world. Occasionally, an item shown online as in stock may have sold in the store or through another marketplace and may not be immediately available. If an unforeseen circumstance causes a delay, you will be contacted promptly to discuss delivery or refund options.

Returns
We make every effort to ensure that you are thoroughly satisfied with purchases made through Killerburst Guitars. We also understand that buying an instrument without first playing it can involve uncertainty. New, in-stock guitars purchased at regular price include a three-day satisfaction-guaranteed evaluation period.
If an instrument is not right for you, contact Killerburst within three days of receiving it to request a return authorization. Original shipping charges and any non-refundable payment-processing fees will be deducted from the refund. Return shipping and insurance are the customer’s responsibility.
Returned instruments are inspected to confirm that they are complete, unaltered and in new condition. Damage or alterations may result in a restocking fee to cover repair costs or a required markdown.
Items generally not eligible for refund
Consignment or special-order instruments, closeout or discounted items, accessories and amplifiers are not eligible for refund unless explicitly discussed and agreed upon before purchase.
In-store purchases and online orders for instruments tested in person are not eligible for cash refunds. An even exchange or store credit will be provided for qualifying instruments returned within three days in unaltered, undamaged condition with all original materials and packaging. Items involved in a trade-in deal or layaway are not returnable.

Special orders
Custom guitars are a Killerburst specialty. Jon will spend the time needed to get the details right. Because custom instruments are personal and built for a specific player, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required when the order is placed, with the balance due when the instrument is complete. A custom-guitar order cannot be canceled after the builder accepts the commission.
Changes requested after an order is placed are subject to the builder’s terms and may involve additional charges or may not be accepted once the build is underway. Any non-stock item ordered specifically for you requires a non-refundable deposit and is non-cancelable and non-returnable unless explicitly agreed upon before purchase.
