For over 40 years, Jackson has been the guitar of choice for the world’s most legendary metal shredders and hard rockers. Now we’re going back to our roots and paying tribute to our iconic history with the Pro Origin 1985 Series.
Built with pride in Ensenada to celebrate Jackson’s beginnings, the Pro Origin Series brings back the San Dimas style that defined a generation of boundary-pushing guitar gods. Featuring Seymour Duncan® JB in the bridge and Hotrails™ in the neck. The resonant alder body delivers the perfect balance of warmth and punch, with exceptional sustain and clarity that cuts through the mix. Each maple neck is artfully tinted to capture that coveted amber glow of perfectly aged wood, while the sleek, speed-optimized neck profile ensures your fingers fly across the fretboard with devastating velocity. From 12″-16″ compound radius ebony fingerboard with large dot inlays to top-mounted Floyd Rose 1000 series double locking tremolos, these new/old classics are loaded with the features that true metalheads crave, letting you channel the spirit of the glory days when Jackson ruled the LA scene.
The Pro Origin 1985 Series mixes throwback vibe with modern playability for a retro-futuristic style that stands out. With historically accurate Jackson pickup tones meticulously recreated from the original specifications, these shred machines let you reconnect with the rich heritage of a true industry pioneer.
Play it loud, play it proud and go back to the future – the Pro Origin 1985 Series puts Jackson’s legacy of attitude and innovation right at your fingertips.

Delivery
Shipping
Standard UPS Ground shipping is included for most orders shipped within the continental United States. Any applicable shipping costs will be shown on the cart page during checkout. In-stock items are typically processed and shipped within one to two business days.
Killerburst is a traditional brick-and-mortar retail store serving local customers while also shipping items around the world. Occasionally, an item shown online as in stock may have sold in the store or through another marketplace and may not be immediately available. If an unforeseen circumstance causes a delay, you will be contacted promptly to discuss delivery or refund options.
Satisfaction evaluation
Returns
We make every effort to ensure that you are thoroughly satisfied with purchases made through Killerburst Guitars. We also understand that buying an instrument without first playing it can involve uncertainty. New, in-stock guitars purchased at regular price include a three-day satisfaction-guaranteed evaluation period.
If an instrument is not right for you, contact Killerburst within three days of receiving it to request a return authorization. Original shipping charges and any non-refundable payment-processing fees will be deducted from the refund. Return shipping and insurance are the customer’s responsibility.
Returned instruments are inspected to confirm that they are complete, unaltered and in new condition. Damage or alterations may result in a restocking fee to cover repair costs or a required markdown.
Items generally not eligible for refund
Consignment or special-order instruments, closeout or discounted items, accessories and amplifiers are not eligible for refund unless explicitly discussed and agreed upon before purchase.
In-store purchases and online orders for instruments tested in person are not eligible for cash refunds. An even exchange or store credit will be provided for qualifying instruments returned within three days in unaltered, undamaged condition with all original materials and packaging. Items involved in a trade-in deal or layaway are not returnable.
Built or sourced for you
Special orders
Custom guitars are a Killerburst specialty. Jon will spend the time needed to get the details right. Because custom instruments are personal and built for a specific player, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required when the order is placed, with the balance due when the instrument is complete. A custom-guitar order cannot be canceled after the builder accepts the commission.
Changes requested after an order is placed are subject to the builder’s terms and may involve additional charges or may not be accepted once the build is underway. Any non-stock item ordered specifically for you requires a non-refundable deposit and is non-cancelable and non-returnable unless explicitly agreed upon before purchase.

“Great experience and so refreshing from the big box stores. Fast shipping, white-glove instrument treatment, and the guitar was flawless and plays like butter.”
