The Air Norton™ started out simply to be the Airbucker™ version of the Norton®. We thought it would make a distinctive-sounding bridge pickup with high-gain amps, but we soon discovered that it’s a radically neat neck pickup, too. The tone is deep and warm, but not muddy. It’s hot, but not distorted. It’s even got cool harmonics, which are really unusual for a neck humbucker. The patented Air Norton™ magnetic structure reduces string-pull, so sustain is improved; and pick attack and dynamics are tremendously controllable and expressive. Combine the Air Norton™ with an Air Zone™, The Tone Zone® or Steve’s Special™ in the bridge position for a perfect blend of power and tone, or use an Air Norton™ in the bridge position with an Air Classic™ Bridge model in the neck position for a distinctive medium-output blues-rock sound.
When the Air Norton™ is in the neck position, it’s a warm, open-sounding pickup with enough power to balance with all bridge humbuckers. Try it with 500K pots for maximum treble and harmonic presence. In the bridge position, the sound is medium output with solid lows and biting harmonics. You can try it here with 250K controls, or a 500 K volume and 250K tone to fatten the highs up a little. Combines well with Air Classic™ in neck, and also with The Cruiser®, The Chopper™, and Blue Velvet™ single-coils.

Delivery
Shipping
Standard UPS Ground shipping is included for most orders shipped within the continental United States. Any applicable shipping costs will be shown on the cart page during checkout. In-stock items are typically processed and shipped within one to two business days.
Killerburst is a traditional brick-and-mortar retail store serving local customers while also shipping items around the world. Occasionally, an item shown online as in stock may have sold in the store or through another marketplace and may not be immediately available. If an unforeseen circumstance causes a delay, you will be contacted promptly to discuss delivery or refund options.
Satisfaction evaluation
Returns
We make every effort to ensure that you are thoroughly satisfied with purchases made through Killerburst Guitars. We also understand that buying an instrument without first playing it can involve uncertainty. New, in-stock guitars purchased at regular price include a three-day satisfaction-guaranteed evaluation period.
If an instrument is not right for you, contact Killerburst within three days of receiving it to request a return authorization. Original shipping charges and any non-refundable payment-processing fees will be deducted from the refund. Return shipping and insurance are the customer’s responsibility.
Returned instruments are inspected to confirm that they are complete, unaltered and in new condition. Damage or alterations may result in a restocking fee to cover repair costs or a required markdown.
Items generally not eligible for refund
Consignment or special-order instruments, closeout or discounted items, accessories and amplifiers are not eligible for refund unless explicitly discussed and agreed upon before purchase.
In-store purchases and online orders for instruments tested in person are not eligible for cash refunds. An even exchange or store credit will be provided for qualifying instruments returned within three days in unaltered, undamaged condition with all original materials and packaging. Items involved in a trade-in deal or layaway are not returnable.
Built or sourced for you
Special orders
Custom guitars are a Killerburst specialty. Jon will spend the time needed to get the details right. Because custom instruments are personal and built for a specific player, a 30% non-refundable deposit is required when the order is placed, with the balance due when the instrument is complete. A custom-guitar order cannot be canceled after the builder accepts the commission.
Changes requested after an order is placed are subject to the builder’s terms and may involve additional charges or may not be accepted once the build is underway. Any non-stock item ordered specifically for you requires a non-refundable deposit and is non-cancelable and non-returnable unless explicitly agreed upon before purchase.
