First available in 1987, the Studio Elite embodied the essence of the L.A. studio scene. With contoured and cutaway neck, heel, and body area, plus a deeper cutaway on the treble side, the upper frets are easier to access. The lead/rhythm circuit and mid-boost preamp makes the Studio Elite one of the most versatile guitars around. Choose one of our many finishes for just the right look.

Studio Elite Base Model Spec Comparison:

Studio Elite HD-P: Passive electronics, master volume, 2 tone controls, 5-way switch, choice of Tyler True Single Single Coils and Tyler Humbucker in bridge position.

Studio Elite HD: Pickups as above with addition of Tyler Midboost Preamp and Preamp Bypass Button. Master volume and tone controls.

Studio Elite: The full-monty. Choice of Seymour Duncan Stack or James Tyler Original noise-cancelling single coils, Tyler Humbucker in bridge position, Series/Parallel push buttons or Series/Split/Parallel toggles for each pickup, Lead/Rhythm Switch (instantly switch from any rhythm setting to bridge pickup in series). JTO pickups are only available with top-routed (pickguard) guitars.
